Instructions

  1. 1 Mix together applesauce and cinnamon in a large bowl until mixture is thick enough to hold a form when cut. Flatten mixture on a work surface and use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes.
  2. 2 Place cookies on a baking sheet. Allow to dry completely at room temperature for 3 to 4 days, depending on size and thickness of cookies. Make a hole with a toothpick before drying if using as a hanging ornament.

  4. 4 Pack pear butter into the hot, sterilized jar, filling to within ¼ inch of top. Run a clean knife or thin spatula around inside of jar to remove any air bubbles. Wipe rim with a moist paper towel to remove any residue. Top with lid and screw ring on tightly. Store in the refrigerator.
