Instructions

  1. 1 Rinse beans and remove any particles or bad beans. Place beans in a saucepan; cover with 2 inches water. Add celery and bay leaves.; bring to a boil over high heat. Cook, adding more water as necessary, for 10 minutes. Drain beans; discard celery.
  2. 2 Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion, bell pepper, and carrot; sauté until onion fairly translucent, about 5 minutes. Add garlic, salt, cumin, and pepper flakes; cook until heated through and fragrant, 1 to 2 minutes. Transfer to a slow cooker.
  3. 3 Add tomatoes and water to slow cooker; stir in beans and bay leaves. Cover slow cooker.
  4. 4 Cook on Low until beans are tender enough that you can easily smash one between your tongue and the top of your mouth for 6 hours (or on High for 4 hours). Add vinegar. Taste and adjust seasonings; add hot pepper sauce.

  1. 1 Combine steak, mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, parsley, paprika, and chile flakes in a bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes prior to cooking.
  2. 2 Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  3. 3 Drain and discard marinade from the steak mixture. Place steak and mushrooms into the basket of the air fryer.
  4. 4 Cook in the preheated air fryer for 5 minutes. Toss and cook 5 additional minutes. Transfer steak and mushrooms to a serving plate and let rest 5 minutes.

  1. 1 Combine yogurt, garlic, cumin, turmeric, ginger, pepper, chile flakes, and cinnamon in a glass or ceramic bowl; mix well.
  2. 2 Chop chicken into small chunks and add to the yogurt mixture. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight.
  3. 3 Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
  4. 4 Remove chicken from the refrigerator and thread onto skewers. Place on the preheated grill and cook, turning occasionally, until no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, about 15 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
