  1. 1 Rinse chicken, and pat dry with paper towels. Place chicken breasts into a slow cooker, and drizzle melted butter all over chicken breasts, lifting them up to allow butter to flow underneath the chicken. Cover the cooker, set to High, and cook until tender, 4 to 5 hours. With a metal spatula, chop up chicken into bite-size pieces in the slow cooker.
  2. 2 Place cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, Italian salad dressing mix, and sherry into a saucepan over medium heat, and bring to a boil, constantly stirring until cream cheese has melted and sauce is well combined. Pour sauce over chicken in the slow cooker; cover, and cook on High until the flavors have blended and the sauce is bubbling, about 30 more minutes.

  1. 1 Boil chicken breasts and celery in 4 cups of water for about 30 minutes. Remove from heat and remove chicken from water to cool. When chicken is cooled, shred and set aside.
  2. 2 In a large skillet, melt butter or margarine. Drain mushrooms, reserving liquid, and add to skillet. Heat thoroughly, seasoning with salt and pepper. Add evaporated milk, reserved mushroom liquid and sherry, stirring well. Add cheese a few slices at a time until thoroughly melted and blended. Add shredded chicken and bring to a slow boil.
  3. 3 Preheat oven to 350 degrees (175 C). Grease a 9x13x2 glass baking dish. Put in noodles at about a 1 1/2 inch depth and pour chicken mixture over noodles. Stir to coat. Top with cornflake crumbs and paprika, cover dish and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover dish and bake for 5 more minutes. Serve warm.

  1. 1 Cook and stir pork sausage in a large heavy pot or Dutch oven over medium heat until sausage is browned and crisp, 5 to 8 minutes. Remove sausage with a slotted spoon, leaving drippings in the pot. Brown the sage leaves in the hot drippings until crisp, about 30 seconds; remove sage leaves and set aside.
  2. 2 Cook butternut squash, celery, carrots, and onion in the remaining sausage drippings until the vegetables are softened, stirring only one time after about 5 minutes. Pour sherry into the pot and stir to dissolve any browned bits of food on the bottom of the pot. Pour in chicken and beef broth and stir in brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice. Bring the soup to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer until squash is tender, about 20 minutes.
  3. 3 Puree soup with an immersion blender, leaving a few chunks of vegetables. Pour in half-and-half and season with black pepper. Divide soup into 4 large bowls and top each serving with 1 teaspoon sour cream, cooked sausage, and 2 fried sage leaves.

  2. 2 Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil. Cook fettuccine at a boil until tender yet firm to the bite, about 8 minutes. Drain but do not rinse pasta; transfer to a large serving bowl and keep warm.

  7. 7 Pour 1/2 of the mushroom sauce over pasta; toss to coat. Top with remaining mushroom sauce and 1 tablespoon Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese.

  1. 1 Preheat an oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Whisk together the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika in a large bowl; set aside.

Add roasted red peppers, Parmesan, ricotta, oregano, and basil; mix well. Season with salt and pepper. Set filling aside.
  5. 5 Stuff vegetable-cheese filling into cannelloni and place in the prepared baking dish. Cover with cream sauce.
  6. 6 Bake in the preheated oven until bubbly and heated through, about 25 minutes.
