Instructions
- 1 Bring a pot of water to a boil over high heat. Add asparagus and cook uncovered for 1 minute. Drain in a colander; run under cold water to stop the cooking process.
- 2 Whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, rice wine vinegar, sambal oelek, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger paste together in a small bowl.
- 3 Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add soy sauce mixture; cook until thickened, about 3 minutes. Off heat; stir in asparagus.
