Use a meat thermometer to check the roast. The meat tastes best when rare: 145 degrees F (65 degrees C), but cook to your liking.

  7. 7 Remove 2 cups of gravy from the pot and reserve. Drop dumplings by heaping tablespoon onto the beef and vegetables in the pot, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes (do not peek until the time is up).
  8. 8 Pour reserved gravy back over the dumplings, stir lightly, and serve.

  2. 2 Mix ground turkey, grated onion, jalapeño, barbeque sauce, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, steak seasoning, and mesquite seasoning in a large bowl. Form into 5 patties.
  3. 3 Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in onion; cook and stir until onion has softened and turned translucent, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low, and continue cooking and stirring until onion is very tender and dark brown, 15 to 20 minutes more.
  4. 4 Cook patties in a medium skillet over medium heat, turning once, to an internal temperature of 180 degrees F (85 degrees C), about 6 minutes per side. Serve on buns topped with prepared mayo and caramelized onions.

Instructions

  1. 1 In a medium bowl, mix together the ground lamb, bread crumbs and steak seasoning until well blended. Form into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter. Heat a greased skillet over medium-high heat and fry the lamb balls until they are a bit black and crusty, about 5 minutes. Remove balls from pan and set aside.
  2. 2 Toss the curry paste into the hot skillet and fry for about a minutes. Then pour in the entire can of coconut milk and lower the heat. Let the mixture simmer, stirring frequently for 5 to 10 minutes. Serve the meatballs and curry sauce over rice.

  1. 1 Season elk roast with steak seasoning and sage; place into a slow cooker.
  2. 2 Stir condensed soup, water, onion, and garlic together in a bowl; pour over roast. Cover and cook on Low until meat is easily shredded with a fork, 5 to 7 hours. Stir in sour cream and cook for 30 minutes more.
  3. 3 Remove meat and shred with a fork. Return shredded meat to the slow cooker and mix with sauce.
