Instructions

  1. 1 Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add Italian sausage and cook until brown and crumbly, 5 to 8 minutes. Drain grease from skillet.
  2. 2 Pour in 1/2 of the pasta sauce and mix with browned sausage. Break up lasagna noodles into 4 or 5 pieces each; set on top of sauce mixture. Add remaining pasta sauce on top of noodles and stir. Cover and simmer over medium-low heat until noodles are soft, about 25 minutes.
  3. 3 Add ricotta cheese and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper; stir until ricotta has melted. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese on top; cover and let sit until cheese has melted, about 5 minutes.

Instructions

  1. 1 Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and stir in the ground beef. Cook and stir until the beef is crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink. Drain and discard any excess grease. Stir in the spinach and cook until wilted, about 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
  2. 2 Transfer the beef mixture to a bowl. Add the Parmesan, parsley, bread crumbs, olive oil, egg, garlic salt, and pepper and mix well. Run the filling through a grinder until smooth (or puree in a food processor until smooth).
  3. 3 The filling can be kept in the refrigerator for up to four days or in the freezer for up to three months.
