Instructions

  1. 1 Lightly flour a clean work surface and a rolling pin.
  2. 2 Separate each biscuit and roll each dough piece into an 8x3 1/2-inch sheet. Spread 1 1/2 teaspoons chocolate-hazelnut spread down the center of each piece, keeping 1 inch bare at the top and bottom. Fold the top and bottom down towards the center of the sheet. Roll up the remaining dough tightly to create a cigar shape.
  3. 3 Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly spray the basket with cooking spray.
  4. 4 Set pastries into the air fryer basket, seam-side down, leaving at least 2 inches between individual pastries since they will expand. Work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Brush tops with butter.
  5. 5 Air fry until golden browned and puffed up, about 5 minutes.
  6. 6 Transfer pastries to a serving dish. Brush with more butter and lightly dust with powdered sugar.

  3. 3 Melt margarine in a small saucepan over medium heat; stir in brown sugar and maple syrup and bring to a boil. Cook and stir until mixture begins to foam, about 1 minute. Remove from the heat.
  4. 4 Mix white sugar and cinnamon in a resealable plastic bag. Add 6 to 8 biscuit pieces at a time to the bag; shake until well coated. Place sugared biscuits onto a plate and repeat to coat the rest.
  5. 5 Empty any sugar mixture from the resealable bag into maple syrup mixture; place the saucepan over medium heat and stir until sugar dissolves, 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. 6 Make four layers of ingredients in the prepared pan as follows: bacon, maple syrup mixture, biscuits. Finish with the last drizzle of maple syrup mixture.
  7. 7 Bake in the preheated oven until biscuits are cooked through, about 35 minutes. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 to 20 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.

  3. 3 Gently stretch out the biscuits one at a time until they're large enough to fit 1 tablespoon apple mixture. Be careful not to stretch them too thin, you don't want the dough to break.

  5. 5 Line up the dumplings with the seal facing down. Use a sharp knife to slice a tiny slit into the top of each dumpling to allow them to vent while cooking.
  6. 6 Bake in the preheated oven until nearly golden brown, 15 to 25 minutes.
  7. 7 While dumplings are baking, melt butter for sauce in a medium saucepan over medium-low. Slowly sprinkle flour into the butter, whisking the entire time. Add water and stir to combine. Remove from heat. Whisk in sugar and vanilla extract.
  8. 8 Remove dumplings from the oven and pour sauce on top. Continue to bake until the edges of the corner dumplings start to brown and pull away from the sides of the pan, 5 to 6 minutes more.
