Instructions

  1. 1 Combine flour, shortening, sugar, and salt in the bowl of a food processor; pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add water; process until it forms a dough ball. Wrap dough ball in plastic wrap; refrigerate until well chilled, at least 30 minutes.
  2. 2 Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease two 12-cup shallow muffin tins.
  3. 3 Roll dough out until thin; cut into rounds with a cookie cutter. Place each round in a muffin cup. Add 2 teaspoons jam to each cup.
  4. 4 Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Cool tarts on a wire rack.

Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Lightly grease two 8x3-inch loaf pans.
  2. 2 Mix 4 cups flour, 1 1/2 cups sugar, honey, eggs, oil, coffee, jam, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, and baking soda together in a bowl until smooth; spread evenly into the prepared loaf pans.
  3. 3 Bake in the preheated oven until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, about 1 hour. Remove cake from pans and cool on a wire rack.
  4. 4 Mix 1/2 cup sugar, cocoa powder, water, and 1 teaspoon flour together, stirring constantly, in a saucepan over low heat until mixture is smooth and thick, about 8 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat and add margarine and brandy; whisk until glaze is thickened. Refrigerate glaze until cooled, at least 15 minutes.
  5. 5 Spread glaze over cooled cakes.

Instructions

  1. 1 Fill a stockpot with enough water to just cover the jars. Attach a sous vide immersion cooker to the side of the pot. Set temperature to 172 degrees F (77 degrees C).
  2. 2 Generously oil the inside of each jar with coconut oil. Add ham and red pepper to the bottom of the jars.
  3. 3 Whisk eggs and cream together in a bowl until well combined. Stir in Cheddar cheese, salt, and nutmeg. Divide egg mixture among the jars. Close jars with lids and metal bands; tighten using the tips of your fingers only. Do not over-tighten.
  4. 4 Immerse in the water bath and cook for 1 hour. Carefully remove the jars, using tongs, to a heat-resistant surface. Let rest 10 minutes before opening the jars.

Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. 2 Cut puff pastry into 6 equal squares about 4 inches diagonally and 1/4-inch thick. Push each square into a muffin cup and gently press down. Place 1 tablespoon goat cheese into each pastry. Spoon 1 tablespoon avocado into 3 of the pastries and 1 tablespoon jam into the other 3 pastries.
  3. 3 Bake in the preheated oven until bottoms are browned, 10 to 15 minutes. Top the avocado puffs each with 1 slice sun-dried tomatoes. Sprinkle pine nuts over all the puffs.
