  1. 1 Combine mashed blueberries with 2 tablespoons of cold water in a saucepan over low heat. Heat until boiling, stirring to avoid sticking. Stir in honey, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  2. 2 Mix remaining 4 tablespoons cold water with cornstarch, tapioca flour, and arrowroot flour to form an even, milky solution with no lumps. Add this slowly to boiling berry mixture while stirring evenly. Remove from heat and let cool.

Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease baking sheets or line with parchment paper.
  2. 2 Beat butter and sugar just until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  3. 3 Combine flour, arrowroot flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to butter mixture and mix well. Divide dough in half.
  4. 4 On a lightly floured surface, roll half the dough out 1/8 inch thick. Cut into 2 1/2-inch rounds. Transfer rounds to prepared baking sheet; prick with fork. Repeat with remaining dough.
  5. 5 Bake in preheated oven until edges are golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Allow a bit more baking time if rolled thicker.

Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line two 12-cup muffin tins with paper liners.
  2. 2 Sift rice flour, tapioca flour, millet flour, arrowroot flour, guar gum, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a large bowl.
  3. 3 Combine lemon juice and zest in a 2-cup liquid measure. Add water to make 1 1/2 cups liquid; transfer to a large bowl. Add mayonnaise and blend with an electric mixer until creamy and most of the lumps are gone. Mix in sugar and poppy seeds. Pour into the flour mixture and beat for a full 2 minutes. Transfer batter into the prepared muffin cups.
  4. 4 Bake in the preheated oven until tops spring back when lightly pressed, about 15 minutes. Cool in the tins for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease a muffin tin.
  2. 2 Mix teff flour, brown rice flour, arrowroot flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, and salt together in a large bowl. Form a well in the center of the flour mixture. Add water, pecans, olive oil, and eggs to the well. Whisk the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until batter is fully combined. Fold raisins, golden raisins, apricots, and cranberries into batter. Pour batter into the prepared muffin tin.

Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease an 11x13-inch glass baking dish baking with olive oil.
  2. 2 Melt 5 tablespoons butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat; cook until bubbling and beginning to brown, 2 to 3 minutes. Stir arrowroot flour into the butter until completely moistened; season with 1 teaspoon marjoram, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg.
  3. 3 Pour almond milk over the arrowroot mixture, whisking continually to integrate. Bring mixture to a boil, stir ricotta cheese into the mixture until smooth, and immediately remove saucepan from heat.
  4. 4 Pour about 1/3 of the ricotta mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread into an even layer. Layer about half the butternut squash, kale, and onion atop the sauce, respectively; top with about 1/2 of the ricotta mixture. Layer remaining squash, kale, and onion over the second layer of ricotta mixture and then cover with remaining ricotta mixture. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
  5. 5 Bake in preheated oven until the squash is tender, about 30 minutes. Remove and discard aluminum foil.
  6. 6 Mash the almond meal, nutritional yeast, 5 tablespoons butter, Parmesan cheese, 1/2 teaspoon marjoram, thyme, and sea salt together with a fork or pastry cutter; spread in a layer atop the gratin.
  7. 7 Continue baking until the gratin is bubbling and the topping is browned, 5 to 10 minutes.

  1. 1 Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Swirl in olive oil and heat until very hot. Add sage leaves; fry until crisp, about 1 minute per side. Transfer sage leaves, using tongs, to a plate lined with paper towels. Remove skillet from heat, reserving oil.
