Instructions
- 1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan, knocking out excess flour.
- 2 Mix whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and brown sugar together in a large bowl. Mix in molasses and buttermilk until just combined. Fold in cranberries and raisins if using. Pour batter into prepared pan.
- 3 Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the loaf comes out clean, about 1 hour. Cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes, and then remove from pan. Cool completely before slicing.
