Instructions

  1. 1 Crush celery seeds and caraway seeds with a mortar and pestle until ground.
  2. 2 Mix beer, brown sugar, dry mustard, onion powder, pepper, dill, and crushed seeds together in a bowl until brown sugar is dissolved.
  3. 3 Place brats into a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Pour beer mixture over top and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. 4 Uncover and increase the heat to medium. Boil the sauce until it reduces to a thick, syrupy liquid, about 20 minutes. Tilt the skillet to roll brats in the sticky sauce until thoroughly coated. Transfer brats to a plate and cover to keep warm.
  5. 5 Add sauerkraut to the skillet and stir to combine with any leftover sauce; cook for 5 to 8 minutes. Transfer sauerkraut to a serving platter and top with warm brats.

Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Cook bratwurst in a skillet over medium-high heat just until nicely browned on the outside.
  2. 2 Spread sauerkraut in the bottom of a 9x11 casserole dish, leaving a 2 inch margin at the edges. Sprinkle celery salt and brown sugar over the sauerkraut. Place the sausages on top. Pour the beans around the outer edge of the sauerkraut. Cover the dish with a lid or aluminum foil.
  3. 3 Bake for about 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until bratwurst links are cooked through.

  1. 1 Prick the casing of each sausage in a few places to prevent them from bursting. Place the sausages in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium; simmer 8 minutes. Remove from pot and let cool.
  2. 2 Place toothpicks in a small bowl of water and soak 10 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.
  3. 3 Slice sausages halfway through on the long side. Stuff 3 prunes into the opening. Wrap a bacon slice around the sausage in a spiral and secure with two toothpicks. Repeat with all 6 sausages.
  4. 4 Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat.
  5. 5 Place sausages onto preheated grill and cook, turning once, until desired doneness, or until bacon is browned. Serve on buns topped with desired condiments.

  1. 1 Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter to melt. Season chicken and sausage with basil and oregano. Cook in the hot butter until sausage is browned and chicken is no longer pink and juices run clear, 7 to 10 minutes. Transfer to a plate.

  1. 1 Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add rotini and liquid smoke; cook at a boil until rotini is tender yet firm to the bite, about 8 minutes.
