Instructions
- 1 Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large bowl, about 5 minutes. Add flour, milk, 4 tablespoons butter, sugar, egg yolks, and salt; mix well.
- 2 Turn out dough onto a lightly floured work surface; knead for 5 minutes, adding more flour, a little at a time, until no longer sticky.
- 3 Grease a bowl. Add dough, cover with plastic wrap and a towel. Set dough aside to rise in a warm place for 50 minutes.
- 4 Grease a 9-inch square baking pan; set aside. Lightly punch down dough; knead on a lightly floured surface into an 18x9-inch rectangle. Brush with remaining 2 tablespoons butter.
- 5 Roll up dough snugly from one short end; cut into 9 slices, trimming ends to make neat. Place slices in the prepared baking pan, cut sides-up. Cover with plastic wrap and a towel; set aside in a warm place for 40 minutes.
- 6 Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- 7 Bake in the preheated oven until light brown, 25 to 30 minutes. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Transfer rolls to a platter; dust with confectioners' sugar.
