  1. 1 In a medium sauce pan, mix together sugar, peanut butter, and corn syrup. Be careful not to let it burn, or it will ruin the recipe. Stir mixture until well melted. Remove pan from heat.
  2. 2 Combine warm peanut butter mixture with crisp rice cereal.
  3. 3 Grease well a 9x13 inch pan with butter or margarine. Spread mixture in pan. Allow to cool. When mixture is no longer sticky to the touch, cut into bars.

Instructions

  1. 1 Melt peanut butter and butter together in a medium saucepan over low heat; stir often.
  2. 2 Mix confectioners' sugar and cereal together in a large bowl until well combined. Pour in peanut butter mixture and stir until well combined; mixture will be crumbly but will hold together when pressed.
  3. 3 Form into 1-inch balls; place on parchment-lined cookie sheets. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm, 3 hours to overnight.
  4. 4 Melt chocolate in a double boiler over low heat.
  5. 5 Place 1 peanut butter ball into chocolate; use 2 forks to roll in mixture to coat. Let excess chocolate drip back into the pot; place on a wire rack set over parchment paper. Repeat with remaining peanut butter balls.
  6. 6 Refrigerate until firm before serving.

  1. 1 Line a 11x7-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Make sure parchment paper is long enough to be able to pull bark out of pan, once set.
