Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. 2 Combine tomatoes, tomato juice, tomato paste, onion, parsley, salt, red pepper flakes, black pepper, thyme, and cloves in a large pot. Bring to a boil over high heat; reduce heat to low and let simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
  3. 3 Meanwhile, combine beef, crackers, eggs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, and thyme in a bowl. Form into large meatballs and place into a broiler pan.
  4. 4 Bake in the preheated oven until browned and no longer pink in the centers, about 30 minutes.
  5. 5 Transfer meatballs to sauce and continue to simmer, 2 to 2 1/2 hours more.
  6. 6 Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 12 minutes. Drain.
  7. 7 Serve sauce and meatballs over cooked spaghetti.

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a 15 x 10 inch baking pan with foil and grease it well. Line the pan with soda crackers.
  2. 2 In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. Add the brown sugar and cook stirring it until it dissolves. Bring to a boil and cook about 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Immediately pour mixture over the soda crackers.
  3. 3 Bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until the mixture starts to bubble. Spread the chocolate chips over the hot cookies. Let set for a minute. Spread the chocolate evenly. Sprinkle with nuts. Let cool, then cut into bars.

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Cover cookie sheet with foil. Spray foil with cooking oil spray.
  2. 2 Place crackers on foil in 5 x 7 inch rows.
  3. 3 Microwave butter on high for 2 minutes. Add brown sugar and stir. Microwave on high for 2 more minutes, stirring every 30 seconds.
  4. 4 Pour over crackers. Bake 17 - 20 minutes (should bubble but not burn).
  5. 5 Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot crackers. Spread after 2 minutes (chips have softened). Sprinkle nuts on top.
  6. 6 Refrigerate 1 hour. Break into pieces. Can be frozen.

  1. 1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. 2 Bring a saucepan of water to a boil. Cook clams in the boiling water until all shells are open, about 5 minutes.
  3. 3 While the clams are cooking, combine crushed crackers, garlic powder, and parsley in a large resealable bag. Seal the bag and crush the mixture until finely ground and well combined.
  4. 4 Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add cracker crumb mixture and cook, stirring constantly, until golden brown.
  5. 5 Drain clams. Remove and discard the empty half shell from each clam. Transfer full halves to a baking sheet; spoon crumb mixtureinto each shell.
  6. 6 Bake in the preheated oven until topping is browned and crispy, 10 to 15 minutes.
  7. 7 Serve clams with lemon juice and hot pepper sauce.

When chocolate gets soft, spread over crackers with back of a spoon. Sprinkle slivered almonds on melted chocolate. Place in refrigerator for at least 8 hours. Break into cookie-size pieces. This recipe freezes well.

  1. 1 Mix together crushed crackers, bread crumbs, and garlic powder in a medium bowl. Set aside.
