Instructions

  1. 1 In large electric mixer bowl, beat peanut butter, margarine and sugar on medium speed until thoroughly combined. Add KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal, mixing thoroughly. Portion mixture, using rounded teaspoon. Shape into balls. Place each ball in paper cup. Refrigerate.
  2. 2 Melt chocolate morsels and shortening in small saucepan, over low heat, stirring constantly. Spoon 1 teaspoon melted chocolate over each peanut butter ball. Refrigerate until firm. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

Instructions

  1. 1 Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. 2 Make the bars: Combine corn syrup and sugar in 3-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves and mixture begins to boil.
  3. 3 Remove from the heat and stir in peanut butter until well combined. Add rice cereal and stir until well coated. Press mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  4. 4 Make the topping: Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips in a 1-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Spread evenly over cereal mixture. Let stand until firm, about 20 minutes. Cut into 24 bars.

  1. 1 In large saucepan melt margarine over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
  2. 2 Add KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal. Stir until well coated.
  3. 3 Using buttered spatula or wax paper, press mixture evenly into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cool. Cut into 2-inch squares. Best if served the same day.
