Instructions
- 1 Gather all ingredients.
- 2 Place sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook and crumble over medium-high heat until evenly brown.
- 3 Remove sausage with a slotted spoon, leaving the drippings in the pan. Stir butter into the pan until melted.
- 4 Add flour and stir until smooth.
- 5 Reduce heat to medium and cook until light brown.
- 6 Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
- 7 Add cooked sausage back to the skillet. Reduce heat and simmer for 12 to 15 minutes. If gravy becomes too thick, stir in a little more milk.
- 8 Serve over biscuits and enjoy!
