Instructions

  1. 1 Gather all ingredients.
  2. 2 Whisk eggs and water together in a small bowl. Combine bread crumbs and garlic salt in a medium bowl. Whisk flour and cornstarch together in a third bowl. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large, heavy saucepan to 365 degrees F (185 degrees C).
  3. 3 Dredge 1 mozzarella stick in flour mixture; shake off excess. Dip into egg mixture; allow excess to drip off. Press into bread crumbs to coat; repeat dipping in egg and bread crumbs to create a double coating. Place breaded mozzarella stick on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat with remaining mozzarella sticks.
  4. 4 Freeze until firm to help coating set and prevent cheese from oozing during frying, about 45 minutes.
  5. 5 Carefully lower frozen mozzarella sticks, in batches of 3 to 4 at a time, into the hot oil using a spider spoon or tongs. Fry until golden brown, 1 to 2 minutes, flipping occasionally for even color. Avoid overcrowding the pan to maintain oil temperature. Transfer fried mozzarella sticks with a spider spoon or tongs to paper towels; drain. Repeat with remaining mozzarella sticks.
  6. 6 Serve hot and enjoy!

Instructions

  1. 1 Place a piece of cheesecloth into a strainer, and place the ricotta cheese into the cheesecloth. Set a bowl underneath the strainer to catch drips, and refrigerate 8 hours, or overnight, to allow moisture to drip from ricotta.
  2. 2 Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  3. 3 Place sausage into a large skillet over medium heat, and cook and stir until browned and crumbly, about 10 minutes. Drain excess grease, and allow sausage to cool.
  4. 4 Place the drained ricotta cheese into a large bowl, and stir in 5 beaten eggs and mozzarella cheese until well mixed. Mix in the cooked sausage, Parmesan cheese, parsley, prosciutto, and black pepper until thoroughly combined.
  5. 5 Divide the pizza dough into fourths, and roll out 2 of the pieces into 12-inch circles. Fit the circles into 2 10-inch pie plates, leaving 1 inch of dough hanging over the edge. Divide the filling between the 2 pies. Roll out 2 top crusts, place onto the pies, and fold the edges of the bottom crusts over the edges of the top crusts to seal. Crimp and flute the edges of the pie crusts.
  6. 6 Beat 1 egg with water in a small bowl, and brush the egg wash over the tops and edges of both pies. Cut several slits into the top crusts to vent steam.
  7. 7 Bake pies in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then lower oven temperature to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Continue to bake until the crust is browned and the filling is hot, 45 to 50 more minutes. Serve at room temperature.

Instructions

  1. 1 Gather all ingredients. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. 2 Roll out one puff pastry sheet into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. 3 Lightly score puff pastry into the shape of a Christmas tree (triangle) with a wide base. Spread chocolate-hazelnut spread over the triangle in a thin layer with the back of a spoon.
  4. 4 Roll out the second sheet of puff pastry to a large rectangle and place on top of the first one. Carefully trace the shape of the chocolate-covered triangle underneath and cut out the Christmas tree shape and the trunk. Pull away excess pastry.
  5. 5 Lightly score 2 lines down the middle of the triangle to form a tree trunk that is narrower at the top and gets wider towards the base. Using the trunk as a guide, cut branches into the sides of the triangle.
  6. 6 Twist the branches away from you, trying to get in 2 turns on the lower branches. Continue moving up the tree, twisting away from you as you go.
  7. 7 Cut a small star out of the excess pastry; place it on top of the tree. Brush the star and the whole tree with beaten egg.
  8. 8 Bake in the preheated oven until puffy and golden brown, 12 to 15 minutes. Cool slightly, about 5 minutes. Slide onto a serving plate, using a piece of parchment paper if needed.
